Requesting Apple mobile Apps


This document provides guidance on requesting or obtaining Apple App Store software/eBooks on iPads.

To obtain a paid application for your Apple Product please have the following information and follow the requested steps.
A teacher can submit a request to have a Volume Purchase Program Redemption Code provided for a specific app for an iPad.
During the process to complete this request please be aware that Administrative approval is required. If you are a teacher your request will be forwarded to your administrator for confirmation of this purchase.

Due to the time required to complete the process with Apple to obtain the Redemption Code(s) for you application, please allow for a few days for processing. The process can take longer if the request requires additional funds be transferred into the VPP account.

A help desk ticket needs to be submitted, preferably by the App requester, with the following information listed.
1. Name of the App along with the Manufacture or company that produces the app (I need the second item just in case there are multiple options with the same name)
2. The List of devices this App needs to be installed on. (Please provided the Name of the device(s) or the Asset Number(s))
3. Any information you feel will help with the request. (ie: website or additional assistance requests)

Once your request has been approved and the apps redemption codes obtained your iPad will need to be available to have the application installed. At this time there is not an option to remotely deploy the application. This may change in the future. 

You can find the requested URL for your app by going to the app store on your browser. Copy and past the  link to the support request will help ensure that we get the correct app.

NOTE: Any app deployed to your iPhone or iPad will require constant updating from the Apple Configurator system. Currently the I.T. Department has this scheduled for monthly updates unless otherwise requested. This only applies to district purchased or VPP based apps pushed out and managed by I.T.
