The following article is intended to provide information and links to understand the modern authentication methods beyond the username/password structure. Multi-Factor Authentication and 2 Factor Authentication are both methods used on USD405 computer systems and services.

At the time of this article's publishing all USD405 employees are required to use either MFA or 2FA methods for account access to services provided by USD405. Although not all online services are currently setup for MFA or 2FA all vendors are working towards that goal. Google and Microsoft's account setups do require this in order to login and use those services.
